Nature-Connectivity Park and Sanctuary for the Human Spirit

A Wildlife Sanctuary turned Peace-Park-for-All, we are on a Crusade against two of society’s most dangerous plagues - Nature Deficit Disorder (NDD) – and Inter-social degradation disease (ISDD). We invite you to disconnect from technology, reconnect to Nature and each other, and join us as apostles of peace.

Located in the rural outskirts of Coats, NC, (about 45 minutes from Raleigh) for over 10 years, we've offered sanctuary to creatures great and small.

We receive no state or federal funding, and survive solely on donations and admissions. We call ourselves The Sanctuary the World Built as it wouldn't be possible without our supporters

At the sanctuary we honor nature and promote stewardship, kindness, and mindfulness ~ We celebrate diversity, and provide a haven of harmony for animals in need as well as respite for the human spirit. We hope you come to visit us soon and meet the special individuals that call the sanctuary home.

During your visit we encourage you to ponder the ethical questions of keeping wildlife as pets and what it truly means to make RESPONSIBLE choices when considering what species are appropriate for the many, the some, the few, or not at all . . .

From child to adult all who come become enchanted with the environment and engaged with the animals. With cats and dogs to pet, a playground for kids, a picnic area for eating, and hammocks for relaxing, you'll find yourself swept away in the calmness of our peace park.
